沉樱（1907－1988），原名陈锳，山东潍县人，早年就读于上海大学、复旦大学，上世纪20年代进入文坛，以短篇恋爱小说《月下》得茅盾赞赏而成名。她先后与戏剧学家马彦祥、诗人梁宗岱结婚，与巴金、赵清阁、朱光潜等人保持了终生的友谊。1948年去台湾，教书之余先后翻译外国文学作品二十余部，编为《蒲公英译丛》，取得巨大成功。她自费出版的茨威格小说集《一位陌生女子的来信》历经三十年而不衰，至今仍再版不绝。著名作家林海音、罗兰、琦君、姚宜瑛等均深受其影响。
