　　1959年出生，畢業於高知醫科大學醫學部。醫學博士。國立成育醫療研究中心研究所免疫過敏．感染研究部部長。於高知醫科大學小兒科、公立三豐綜合醫院從事包含免疫過敏疾病的各種小兒疾病診療後，曾任職於國立小兒科醫院小兒醫療研究中心免疫過敏研究部，接著又到美國約翰霍普金斯大學埋首於免疫過敏學的基礎研究。回國後於高知醫科大學的理化學研究所免疫過敏科學綜合研究中心進行診療，同時從事基礎研究。2002年起擔任國立成育醫療中心研究所免疫過敏研究部過敏研究室室長，2011年開始擔任部長（現職），致力於發展最先進的免疫過敏學基礎研究。
