鄧國仁，1944年生於北京。1968年北京協和醫學院畢業後在青海牧區擔任醫生。1973年調回北京，在北京大學醫學部腫瘤研究所從事科研工作。1979年被選送至美國康乃爾大學做訪問學者，回國後擔任研究員和教授。曾獲得國家級、衛生部、北京市和中華醫學會頒發的科技進步獎多次（第一作者），國家人事部1988年授予“有突出貢獻中青年專家”稱號。1990年開始在加州大學舊金山醫學中心UCSF工作，現任研究教授。至今發表了200餘篇醫學研究論文，獲一項美國專利。2011年和2013年參加了“大家來寫書”活動，出版了《往事在傾訴真實》和《臥薪嘗膽》二書。
此外，還在《世界日報》上發表過十餘篇歷史、旅遊和述評等類文章。
