水仙的獨白
「水仙的獨白」的作者是詩人，散文家，譯述家兼外文教授胡品清女士。這本小冊子裏收集的文章分為三部分：小品、書簡及評介。胡教授最擅長也最喜愛抒情散文。她語言獨特、情感真摯、境界高遠且含有一點深入淺出的哲理。 由於她諳悉四國的文學和語言──中、英、法、德──所以她的表現手法也融匯於一爐。

她的散文不是平舖直敘的，而是形象、意象、隱喻及象徵之大組合、具有一種矇矓美。她的表現手法很新，但是新的沒有離譜。她的寫作及 翻譯態度都非常嚴謹，因此在章句法方面完美無雙。

總之，她的文章明朗而不陳腐，有深度而晦澀，這是難能可貴的現象。
