鳩羅羅什大師是晉代高僧，精通中國、天竺語文。他七歲出家，從師受經，日誦千偈，總貫群籍，妙解大乘。後秦時始入關中，受國師之禮遇，譯《金剛經》、《法華經》等三百餘卷佛經，是中國佛經的播種者，於佛法東傳居功厥偉。宣建人，一九一四年生於江蘇省儀徵。軍委會戰幹一團一期畢業。曾任編審、專員等職。著作有小說、散文、傳記等二十五冊。
