The Origin of the Greek Alphabet: A New Perspective

YAN Pui-chi (甄沛之) read English at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He obtained a Maîtrise de Linguistique from the University of Besançon, France, a Diploma in Phonetics from the University of Edinburgh, and a Certificate in Education from the University of Hong Kong. He was a teacher of English in Hong Kong. Since his retirement he has been actively engaged in language studies, and has written five books on language learning and several articles on the Chinese script reform.
IP Lup-ng (葉立吾) studied philosophy of language in the University of Hong Kong. He studied French in Bordeaux for two years and later worked as the principal film examiner and a translator for the Hong Kong Government. He continued to take an interest in language research after his retirement and has written three books on language learning. He speaks Cantonese, Putonghua, English, French, and Japanese.
