滬上春秋：章太炎與上海
章炳麟（太炎）先生是中國近代一位重要歷史人物，他雖是浙江餘杭人，但他的大半生是在上海度過的。了解他與上海，才能了解他的一生。可是，迄今尚未有人對此作過專門論述，以致他在上海的政治活動、學術經歷、生活狀況、思想變遷，語均未詳，甚至有數年缺訛，實為大憾。
作者運用翔實資料，並從整個近代政治史、思想史、學術史著手，考證太炎寓滬的經歷，分析他變化的原因，論述他學術的著述，評價他的功過是非；力圖對他作出 一個公正的客觀的全面的評價，為讀者展現一個真實的太炎和展示一段真實的歷史，使讀者從太炎身上和從這一段歷史中，得到教益。
1942年6月17日生，上海靜安區師範學校畢業。先後於上海市靜安區小學、中學、少年宮任教，1979年底入上海社會科學院歷史研究所，研究近代史和編《章太炎全集》，現為副研究員。
