偏遠寂靜的阿克哈拉村，緩慢而永恆的喀吾圖，沙依橫布拉克的夏牧場…「阿勒泰的精靈」李娟以細膩明亮的筆觸全景式記錄北疆邊地美好閃光的時刻。全書分為兩輯。第一輯記憶之中（2007-2009），記錄了在喀吾圖和阿克哈拉村細碎堅忍的生活畫面；第二輯角落之中（2002-2006），原生態書寫了李娟和母親及高齡的外婆隨牧民遷徙、流動的日常：開雜貨鋪，當小裁縫，幫往來的牧民車衣裙，去大山深處採野生木耳；春天沙依恆布拉克草原上鼓脹的帳篷，夏季牧場上喧囂盛大的阿肯彈唱會，入冬後瓷實的迢迢雪路……戈比、草原、森林、雪山、駿馬和牧人，細膩明亮的文字展現了游牧民族在邊地深遠豐富的生存景觀。
李娟，1979年出生於新疆生產建設兵團農七師，成長時期輾轉於四川、新疆兩地，有過一段阿勒泰牧場上的生活經歷。出版有散文集《九篇雪》《我的阿勒泰》《阿勒泰的角落》《走夜路請放聲歌唱》《記一忘三二》，長篇散文《羊道》三部曲、《遙遠的向日葵地》《冬牧場》，詩集《火車快開》。作品曾獲第七屆中華優秀出版物、2017"中國好書"獎、2018第七屆魯迅文學獎散文獎及"人民文學獎""上海文學獎""天山文藝獎""朱自清散文獎"等。
