《银海精微》据传是孙思邈著，又传为宋以后、明以前医人所著。全书2卷。该书首次提出眼的系统检查法，治疗上主张内服与外治相结合，内服多选用补泻兼施、寒温并用之剂，对症状与检查描写细致，该书在一定程度上充实了眼科学的内容，对眼科临床有较大的参考价值。
孙思邈七岁入学堂，一天能背诵上千字的课文。二十岁时，能谈论庄子、老子以及诸子百家的学说，还喜好阅读佛经。北周宣帝时期，因朝廷变乱，他在太白山隐居，钻研医术、采集药草、验证药方并为人治病。隋文帝杨坚辅政北周时，征召他为国子博士，他以生病为由拒绝。
