《彷彿與共在》將科幻研究、酷兒視角、旁若文學分析的三重叩問治爐於一體，是台灣第一本結合上述理論，深究「非寫實、跨物種、反線性未來主義」的幻異文學專書。
本書收錄作者近二十年來深耕這些領域的論文篇章，以幻設、情色、黝暗恐怖為論證主軸。從勒瑰恩《黑暗的左手》帶出常態性別編碼的侷促，以「過時的」皮繩愉虐（BDSM）系列拉出情色幻想對生命政治之無比重要性，以「罔兩」知識論深入探討「異世界」（Otherworldly）的科技幻想創作譜系——包括從1970年代至今的新浪潮（New Wave）、賽薄叛客（Cyberpunk）、後人類（Post Human）乃至克系觸肢等怪物書寫理論，構築形影之外的旁若世界-宇宙。

已出版論述文集與專書：《魔鬼筆記》、《酷異劄記》、《光幻諸次元註釋本》、《想像不家庭》、《彷彿與共在》等；短篇小說集《肢解異獸》、《異端吸血鬼列傳》、《復返於世界的盡頭》、《銀河滅》、《黑太陽賦格》（已有日文譯本）、《年記1971：風靡宇宙的復刻版》等；長篇小說《末日玫瑰雨》、《不見天日的向日葵》，【宇宙奧狄賽】系列六冊，《混沌輪舞》等。
學術論文散見《文化研究》、《應用倫理評論》、《中外文學》、《台灣社會研究季刊》、《思想》、《同心圓：文學與文化研究（Concentric: Literary and Cultural Studies）》、Reconstruction: A Journal of Contemporary Culture(斜體喔)等。
主要研究領域：科幻小說、旁若文學與影視、文化研究、巴勒斯坦專題、酷兒理論、情慾與國族，跨物種政治。
