一九三、四○年代，中國一批文人在《和平日報》工作，並於1949 年前後南來香港，從事文藝創作。共同擁有「和平文藝」這個背景的諸位南來文人，稱為「和平文人」。劉以鬯一再確認「和平文藝」對1949年後的香港文學具重要影響。
沈海燕，嶺南大學中文哲學博士。兼職講師，曾任敎大學、持續進修學院及中學。研究範圍包括香港文學、報紙副刊、香港文學與電影。
