甘玉貞，香港中文大學中國語言及文學系畢業，並取得中文大學教育學院教育文憑，北京語言大學教育碩士。長期從事編輯出版工作，曾主持多套中、小學教材和大型古籍數據庫的編輯出版。工餘參與文學雜誌和叢書的出版，並曾為《星島日報》撰寫語文學習專欄「EMB學習範文精讀」。
