星洲日报《星星》周刊创立于1993年2月8日，适合小学四至六年级学生阅读。
我们的编辑理念就是成为小孩子成长的快乐阅读良伴。配合教育部KSSR课程纲要的推行，我们也朝向加强阅读及高思维方向编辑内容。
《星星》周刊3大特点：
1. 由小孩子──也就是我们的读者提供内容，包括作文、漫画创作、画画、回文诗、讨论意见等。他们的创作和意见除了刊登出来让大家欣赏和了解，也将为他们赚取稿费。
2. 编辑室的呈献──我们以轻松的方式带出有启理思考的故事和文章，告诉小孩子生活上的好习惯、好观念，帮助他们思想和让他们更喜欢阅读、喜欢华文，也提升他们的语文能力。
3. 优良撰稿人的呈献──有国内著名漫画家、辅导中心、奥数老师、小学各语文老师、荒野保护协会的老师、儿童故事作家提供优质内容。
此外，编辑室也把新闻时事、时下科技发展、环保课题、电影娱乐资讯等带给小孩子。

Sinaran Sin Chew made it debut on February 8th, 1993, targeted at primary students between Year 4 to 6.

Our editorial's philosophy is teaching children in interesting ways, making friends with them through stories and news. In conjunction with the introduction of KSSR to primary schools by the Ministry of Education, we developed contents based on:
Communication with people – Counseling, motivation stories.
• Good Attitude and Values – Stories and news with good moral teaching.
• Humanitarian – balanced in arts and science, games with logistic training.
• Physical and Aesthetical Development –literary content and high-quality illustration.
• Science and Technology – our news introduces the latest development of science and technology.

We encourage students to express, to write and to think. We present news to students in a perspective that their young mind can understand, so as to improve their general knowledge and Chinese language ability.

We organize several 3-day-2-night camps during school holidays to engage readers. These well-accepted camps including Sinaran Sin Chew & Bintang Sin Chew financial literacy camp, Children's 8-Hour Famine camp for World Vision, Sin Chew's Children outdoor exploration camp.
