继《老槟城•老生活》再刷后，《老槟城路志铭：路名的故事》亦应读者要求，改版后再印。借由书中42条老街名，42个老故事，杜忠全打开连接乔治市过去与现在的老城门，重现老槟城生活面貌与街景，让读者知道早期华人如何称呼哪条街之余，还能深入了解命名的缘由。
路名的背后是故事、是记忆、是历史。《老槟城路志铭》的改版设计，使读者更贴近老槟城的旧时光、旧情怀。浅浅的棕黄色封面，一张老槟城大街的黑白照，煞是怀古。而内版的指标地图不再是google map平面图，而是改用了手工绘制的人文地图，让读者更容易找到哪条街、哪条巷之余，还多了份人情味。然后，再配上由在地著名画家——庄嘉强绘制的建筑物与街景图，读者仿佛坐上了时光机，回到了老槟城现场。
杜忠全。槟城人，1969年出生，台北中国文化大学中文系毕业，新加坡国立大学中文系硕士，目前为马来亚大学中文系博士研究生，报刊专栏作者，曾任学术行政兼从事教学。1993年赴台念中文系，无关写作；2002年开始重新笔耕，无关文学，只是一种回归仪式，书写生长与生活的槟岛。2005年获星洲日报第八届花踪文学奖散文推荐奖，结集作品有《青年•人间•佛教》论文集（2006，马佛青佛教文摘社）、《老槟城•老生活》（2008，大将）、《印顺导师的人间佛教思想》学术专论（2009，法雨）等。
