　　重新回到生活的詩
　　《南迴》是年輕詩人由故鄉臺南往返花蓮求學沿途累積的詩作，有臺南院子裡的雞冠花，花蓮宿舍裡的工業風房間，還有翻越中央山脈此起彼落的臭青母。一面懷想原鄉的童年種種，一面憧憬離鄉背井的紛華。

　　無所不在的縫隙
　　在語言中，在生活裡，在親愛的人的臉龐，處處都充滿了縫隙。這些縫隙被一句又一句的詩行填滿，田野裡的景致，書本裡的偉大敘事，螢光幕上的少女團體，餐桌上的一道料理，統統都被寫進詩裡。當日常的巨浪淹沒我們的時刻，延禎還有餘暇刺穿碎浪的白沫，悠悠寫一行詩。

　　遠方的麋鹿
　　作為美好想像的麋鹿，三番兩次在《南迴》裡出現，牠被寄託的是未來的美好，在幽靜深邃的林間，優雅的存在。麋鹿是現代詩人心中的南山，是南迴道路上的守望者，當然，也是詩人不惜捍衛的價值觀。

　　我想起忘記帶的水壺裡
　　有阿嬤煮的青草茶
　　──《夜遊》
