相理衡真十卷。內弟陳君淡埜所著也。辛卯秋。余官浙歸里。道經州治。住淡埜家數日。酬應稍暇。淡埜出是書。命為校閱。展卷讀之。見其縷析條分。原原本本。別出新見。證以舊聞。淺以求之。身體髮膚之。末深而通之。性情心術之原。顯以決其吉凶休咎之。微隱以寓乎警覺提撕之意。數也而衷於理。技也而進乎道。洵風鑑之圭臬矣。淡埜為人聰明倜儻。 不囿尋常。生長華膴。力足以購致羣書。而所與交游者。均多才多能之士。故克囊括典籍。博綜技藝。凡九流百氏。暨琴棋書畫之娛。皆以專心致志。得其要旨。若相法特其一端耳。然即是編觀之。較諸世之涉獵撏摭。味厥旨歸者。大相逕庭矣。余聞淡埜尤諸奇門遁甲諸書。凡所推演。發皆奇中。真易所謂神而明之。存乎其人者與。鶡冠子曰。賤生於無所用。中流失船。一壺千金。淡埜之學。有用之學矣。淡埜之書。有用之書也。豈道中流之壺而已。哉讀是書者。慎毋以小技而忽之可。時道光十有三年歲次癸巳
