2020年，52岁的母亲从陕南农村来到深圳务工。
独立生活十几年后，“我”与母亲在深圳相聚，重新住在一个屋檐下。
我们在狭小的房间中争吵，母亲看不惯“我”的花钱方式，“我”难以忍受母亲的生活习惯。我们深陷彼此纠缠、负担和依赖的关系。
然而我们彼此相爱，“我”深知母亲的软肋便是对我毫无保留的爱。
于是，“我”想理解她。“我”的母亲在矿场、在建筑工地挥洒了年轻的汗水，如今在城市写字楼的几格空间中做保洁员。“我”想记录下母亲的打工史，努力穿梭过她记忆中的生命。母亲的人生为做着螺丝钉般工作的“我”建立起一块生活的“飞地”，让“我”得以喘息、回顾，珍重自己的来处。
这是我们母女共同完成的一场写作。
