「小莽蒼蒼齋」是毛澤東的秘書田家英的書齋名。五十年代至六十年代中期，他收集清人墨跡，蔚為大觀。他的收藏中，與《紅樓夢》相關的藏品引人注意，2012年在其中發現了周春致吳騫的信札，對當前紅學研究有極大價值。這次輯錄是以《紅樓夢》相關墨跡藏品為主，輔以名人小傳，將清以來文人與《紅樓夢》千絲萬縷的聯繫，直觀而詳盡地展現，是讀《紅》讀史愛好者們的首選。
雷廣平，滿族，一九五三生於吉林省松原市，發表作品有《淺議紅樓夢》（延邊人民出版社，2002年），《讀紅偶得》（燕山大學出版社，2013年）等。現為河北省作家協會會員、中國紅樓夢學會理事。
