從小生長於信奉傳統信仰的家庭，喜歡儒家的修身入世、佛教的超脫與道家的自然，以及民間信仰的敬天地禮神明。即使後來成了基督徒，仍希望在愛主的前提下，保有對中華文化的愛。

可惜在強調多元包容的現代社會，基督信仰與中華文化的衝突仍時有耳聞。部分傳統文化擁護者批評基督徒信洋教、崇洋媚外、不守傳統；也有些基督徒說傳統文化擁護者不愛主、拜假神。

此書嘗試對基督信仰與傳統中華文化之間如何共存、融合，發表個人淺見。
