這是台灣第一本內觀修行故事集
這本故事集是台灣及中國大陸內觀禪修舊生的修行心路歷程分享。
內觀（Vipassana）的意思是如實觀察真相。
這是印度古老的修行方法之一，傳承自兩千五百多年前的釋迦牟尼佛，由出生、成長於緬甸的印度人葛印卡先生（Satya Narayan Goenka, 1924.1.30〜2013.9.29）於1969年開始弘傳世界，目前全球有245個內觀中心、129個臨時上課據點。
台灣有兩個內觀中心：台中新社「法昇中心」和高雄六龜「法邁中心」，兩個臨時上課據點：高雄阿蓮觀因寺和嘉義天主教輔仁幼兒園，近30年持續開課不斷。
台灣區上過課的舊生超過二十萬人，而聽過葛印卡內觀課程的人，粗估至少在十倍以上。
