《金瓜石鑛山寫真帖》出版於日治時代大正三年（1914），基隆郡絹川寫真館發行，呈現當時金瓜石正蓬勃發展的採金事業。全書收錄了40張金瓜石礦山照片，礦場範圍包括了今日的金瓜石、牡丹、水湳洞等地。由於原書僅有圖像名稱，欠缺詳細文字解說，為使現代讀者認識金瓜石礦山的歷史，譯者在書前寫有一篇導言介紹金瓜石歷史。此外也於書中穿插金瓜石今貌的照片，讓讀者在瀏覽老照片時，更能體會金瓜石今昔風貌的變化。
