管家琪。華文世界重要的兒童文學作家。1960年出生於臺灣臺北，祖籍江蘇鹽城。輔仁大學歷史系畢業。曾任民生報記者七年，1991年5月底辭掉記者工作之後，即在家專職寫作至今，一直在少年兒童文學領域努力耕耘，著作甚豐。目前在臺灣已出版創作、翻譯和改寫的作品三百餘冊，在大陸、香港和馬來西亞等地也都有幾十冊至一百多冊作品出版。經常至各地中小學與孩子們交流，引領孩子閱讀與寫作，廣受歡迎。曾多次得獎，譬如德國法蘭克福書展最佳童書、臺灣中華兒童文學獎、金鼎獎等。
