艾米莉•勃朗特（EmilyBronte，1818—1848），英国作家、诗人，与姐姐夏洛蒂•勃朗特、妹妹安妮•勃朗特并称“勃朗特三姐妹”，擅长写诗，创作了193首诗歌，是一位极具天赋和才能的女作家。《呼啸山庄》是她一部长篇小说，奠定了其在英国文学史及世界文学史上的杰出地位。其作品擅长以深沉的笔触描写社会现实，以强烈的感情表现现实社会的人在精神上的压迫、紧张与矛盾冲突，在内容和艺术手法上都非常创新和超前。她被誉为“天才型女作家”。
