萩原朔太郎是被稱為「日本近代詩之父」的日本詩人。師事北原白秋，並於白秋門下認識終生好友室生犀星。與犀星共同創辦雜誌「感情」，發表大量散文詩與評論，自費由感情詩社及白日社共同刊行第一本詩集「對月嚎吠」五百冊，隨即售罄並出現高價轉賣等情況。此詩集開拓抒情詩、散文詩的領域，因此確立朔太郎在詩壇的地位。55歲因肺炎亡故以前都在文壇努力。
本稿節錄「對月嚎吠」序言及當中收錄的4首詩。
