中原中也，醫生之子且小時成績優秀，但文學能力覺醒以後便不願意好好工作。好友小林秀雄、大岡昇平等人皆在回憶中提及中也喝酒發酒瘋的事蹟。非常敬愛宮澤賢治，為賢治全集的策劃人員之一。30歲便因病去世。死前只出版一部詩集「山羊之歌」以及翻譯蘭波（Jean Nicolas Arthur Rimbaud，1854-1891）詩集。
